Bowery bay wastewater treatment plant power distribution improvements

This project involves electrical upgrades at the Bowery Bay Wastewater Treatment Plant to maximize plant reliability. The plant’s electrical equipment had not been upgraded for many years, and significant corrosion and physical damage had occurred. The electrical upgrades involved replacing transformers, feeders, synchronizing bus, Motor Control Centers (MCCs), Unit Substation (high voltage) disconnect switches and transformers, and reactors, upgrading or replacing all motors, conduit wire, and control systems, and installing alarm and mimic panels.
